The Queen coins are crafted from a diverse selection of worn-out predecimal coins discovered on both beaches and inland areas. Each coin undergoes a burial process, lasting approximately 50 years, before being transformed. Barrelling techniques are employed to clean and prepare the coins for this unique creation.

This artwork showcases various items that I found while metal detecting in the UK. Did you know that the first 3 inches of the ground hold almost 90% of what has been lost since metal was discovered and made into objects? Each item found has been barrel-tumbled to restore its original color and shape. Barrel-tumbling involves using a washing machine with small ball bearings instead of powder. Most of the objects found are part of another piece, adding to the mystery and intrigue of each discovery.
